Lawrence Oliver

Reflections of His Life
Lawrence Oliver
“Bo”

Lawrence Oliver, affectionately known as “Bo,” was born on Sunday, June 9, 1940 in Los Angeles, California to the late Clifford Sr. and Pinkie Jordan-Oliver. Lawrence was the eighth of nine children.

He attended Village Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Curtis. Bo received his education at Willowbrook Elementary, Willowbrook Junior High, and Centennial High School. He went on to become a driver for a chemical coating company for over 25 years.

Lawrence also met and married Lizzie Bennett-Oliver, and to this union four children were born; Lawrence Jr., Linda, Jerry, and Kenneth. Lawrence enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Throughout his journey, he later married Rosie Shaw and raised three stepchildren, Cindy, Yolanda and Steven who he loved very much. He also met and fell in love with Jeanette and they had a daughter, Doris “Button” Oliver. Overall, Lawrence was truly loved by his family. In 1981 he met Vicky Jones, who accompanied him out of Compton, CA to Rosston, Arkansas. Bo always said she saved his life.

His final destination was complete when he met and married his lifetime partner Levorn “Sue” Jones Williams-Oliver. Bo helped raise four children; Harmon, Yolanda, Akin, Enrico and two grandchildren, Amenetta and Khalil.

Lawrence was wise, kind, and someone you could look up to. He was truly a family man until he gained his angel wings. It was Sunday, January 1, 2023 when God called Lawrence’s name and he answered, surrounded by his wife and daughter as he slipped away into eternity at the age of 82. May he rest in peace.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Clifford Sr. and Pinkie Oliver; son, Kenneth Oliver; six siblings, Clifford Jr., Lorraine, Raymond, Edward, George Sr. and Elizabeth “Tiny”; stepsons, Steven Brooks and Enrico Williams.

Bo leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Levorn Oliver of McNab, AR, two sons, Lawrence Jr. of Portland, Oregon and Jerry Oliver of Los Angeles, CA; two daughters, Linda Oliver of Portland, OR and Doris Okray of Palmdale, CA; sister, Juanita Armster of Paramount, CA; brother, Rudolph Oliver of Portland, OR; special nephew, Kevin Duckworth of Paramount, CA; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, close relatives, and friends.

Vincent E. Bradley Sr.

Reflections of His Life
Vincent Edward Bradley Sr.

Vincent Edward Bradley Sr. was born on June 3, 1962, in McNab, Arkansas, where he was raised by his loving parents Ardell Bradley and the late Joyce Bradley.  Many of us remember Vincent as “Buster”, a nickname his grandparents gave him at an early age. Buster could do no wrong in their eyes, but as he got older, he was called Vince.

Vince was all about family, brotherhood, and community. He single-handedly raised his 9 children, ushering each child into adulthood. To care for his family, Vincent developed a passion for driving 18 wheelers across the country for many years. He also enjoyed working on his vehicles and was constantly remodeling his home. Keeping busy, Vince multitasked instinctively and without effort.  Everyone knew he was a sharp dresser, which he also made look easy. He exhibited his compassion and commitment to the community by becoming a Mason, and remained active until his health declined.

Vincent loved the holidays and coming home late at night to find his mother Joyce in the kitchen cooking. He and his mother spent hours singing all of Al Green’s songs together; They both had such beautiful voices. From this, Vincent developed and shared his cooking skills. It was hard to beat his cooking, especially his barbecuing talent.

He grew up in McNab, AR and years later decided to make Ashdown, AR his home until he was no longer physical able to.  At the age of 60 years old, Vincent E. Bradley Sr. passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Arkansas Nursing & Rehabilitation in Texarkana, AR. He will remain in our hearts forever.

He was preceded in death by: his sister, Charlotte (Bradley) Griffin; aunties, Opal Adams and Linda Brown; grandparents, George and Alyweser Brown, Darnell and Curly Mae Bradley.

Vince leaves the following loved ones to cherish his memories: children, Brandy Robinson and Danielle Flemings both of Fulton, AR, Vincent Edward Bradley Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada, Christopher (Oriana) Bradley of Washington DC, Phillip and Anthony Bradley both of Hot Springs, AR, Joshua Bradley of Little Rock, AR, Tiana and Tyrell Bradley of Myerstown, Pennsylvania; 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; siblings, Lisa (Marcus) Bonds of Windermere, Florida, Ardell Lamont Bradley of Killen, Texas, Shawn Bradley of Nash, TX, Sonya Savage of Hooks, Texas, and Ashley (Jody) Bradley-Harris of Sachse, TX; aunts, Annie Walker of Nash, TX, and Darlene Duffle of Hope, AR; uncle, Henry Brown Sr. of McNab, AR; special friend, Evelyn Semester of Texarkana, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Vincent was a proud father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend who will be truly missed.
